Madonna to put an art work under the hammer

Pop sensation Madonna is selling off one art work from her personal collection to serve pull in millions for her kid’s charity. A 1921 piece by French artist Fernand Leger will be auctioned at Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates in New York City on 7th May.

The Material Girl’s picture’s is worth up to seven million US dollar. Madonna has now vowed to give all the proceeds to the Ray of Light Foundation as well as its education programs in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

According to reports, a statement from the singer said that it it tough for her to accept a world where girls or women are wounded, shot or killed for either going to school or teaching in girls’ schools. they does not have time to be complacent. She want to trade something valuable for something invaluable – educating girls! Knowledge is power. “Let’s change the world!” said the singer.

The 1921 painting was bought by Madonna in the year 1990 at an auction in New York and it would be displayed in London and Hong Kong before it comes back to the Big Apple that will be exhibited in Sotheby’s galleries before the sale.

Recently, Madonna went to an orphanage in Malawi. He went there with her kids – David, Lourdes, Mercy and Rocco. Hundreds of orphans were there to welcome the singer. this is the same orphanage from where she adopted David in the year 2006. The singer told that she is really happy that David is now back to meet his brothers and sisters.

Madonna’s Instagram account might be blocked

US pop singer Madonna has received a warning from Instagram authorities in less that just two month she joined the site. She has received a letter from Instagram authorities who claimed that she has violated their company’s community guidelines. They have also asked Madonna to clean up her act and delete objectionable content; otherwise the Instagram authorities would be forced to block her account without prior notice.

The letter asks not to share pictures which contain nudity or mature content. The company even asked the singer to delete things that go against their term of services. In case, she avoid their warning, her account would be discontinued. According to reports, after the warning, Madonna deleted some pictures that might be considered as offensive.

Madonna’s 3 storey Hard Candy Fitness centre in Rome is all set to open on 26th May, but it has been said that the US pop singer would not be present at the opening. Close sources reported that she would visit the place in September.

The 1200 square meter gym will be part of Madonna’s Hard Candy global chain of gyms and it would be managed in partnership with a top Italian fitness firm called Dabliu. The gym’s venue is well known for housing the Teatro Colosseo till 2008, but a recent change saw it hosting the “3-D Rewind Rome” tour.
